For three consecutive nights last November, the inaugural New York Festival of Light
(NYFoL), illuminated DUMBO, Brooklyn, with a curated collection of lighting
installations and performances by artists from all over the world. The festival was
held free and open to the public to the delight of the over 80,000 people of all ages
who attended.
In 2014, NYFoL animated the area in and around the historic anchorage of the
Manhattan Bridge, but the 2nd Annual New York Festival of Light we are expanding
into Brooklyn Bridge Park along the East River Waterfront, with the Manhattan
skyline as a backdrop so we can exhibit more and different types of lighting
installations.
